How did you become involved with Music for Relief?
Tak Matsumoto: Right after the Great East Japan Earthquake happened, Linkin Park’s management asked me to get involved with Music for Relief. I was thinking what I could do for my country so it was perfect opportunity.
Koshi Inaba: Right after the disaster in March, Music for Relief asked us to donate a song for the album to support Japan. That was the start.
Were you planning any other benefit shows?
Tak Matsumoto: Yes, we’ll start the tour from Sendai (stricken area) in this September. We’re going to have two shows there and all proceeds goes to a local charity.
Koshi Inaba: 100% of net proceed of these two shows will be donated towards the relief effort.
What do you think is going to make this benefit show with Linkin Park most special?
Tak Matsumoto: I deeply appreciate that we can perform in the US and support Japan as well. And I am very proud of sharing the stage with Linkin Park, of course.
Koshi Inaba: That as a Japanese band, we are able to show our appreciation directly to those who is supporting our country.
How else can listeners help with Tsunami relief?
Tak Matsumoto: I’m so grateful to all the people who are supporting Japan! I believe it’s not just about supplies and donations. Reconstructing the devastated area will take for years, so please don’t forget the victims of the disasters and don’t stop praying for Japan.
Koshi Inaba: By making a donation if you can. The repercussions of this disaster are still effecting thousands and won’t go away for a long time. Not forgetting about the tsunami disaster and praying for the people who are still suffering would help.
